 Teaching Aims 1.Teaching Objects: (1) Function: Talk about ownership. (2) KeyVocabulary:have,soccer,ball,tennis,racket,bat,ping-pong ball,volleyball,basketball (3) Target Language: --Do you have a ping-pong bat? --Yes,I do. --Do you have a ping-pong ball? --No, I don’t. (4) Structure:the simple present tense 2. Ability Objects: Know how to use have. 3. Moral Objects: It’s good for students to play sports. Teaching Key Points Do you have ...? Does he have...? Teaching Difficult Mothods Pairwork Teaching Aids Pictures; Balls Teaching Procedures Step 1 Review Show the picture. Make conversation about “where-questions”. Such as “where’s the pencil box?It’s on the bed.”....”where’s the baseball? It’s in the box.” after that,we can ask”Do you have a baseball?” and so on. In this way,we can begin our new lesson like that. Step 2 Presentaion.

 1. Present the new words. (1) Show the pictures of ping-pong ball,volleyball,basketball,tennis racket,soccer ball on the screen.Ask questions like this: T:What’s this?(Point to the picture of basketball) S:It’s a basketball.(Help the students to answer) T:Basketball. B-A-S-K-E-T-B-A-L-L,basketball. Read after me. S: B-A-S-K-E-T-B-A-L-L,basketball. (2) Use the same approach to teach and practice the other words. Practise the words again and again until they can name each item fluently. (3) Let students match the words with the things in the picture on page 25,1a. (4) Listen and circle the words they hear,complete the exercise on page 25,1b. 2. Present the structures. Step 3 Practice 1. Practice the drill “Do you have a ...?”in pairs.Then ask and answer questions about the things in the picture of 1a. 2. Play the recording twice,for the first time,ask the students listen to the conversations and put the pictures on page26,2a in the right order. For the second time,let the students listen again,and match the pictures in 2a with the balls.Then,check the answers. Step 4 Ask and answer. According to the conversations the students listened from 2a just now,let them ask and answer questions with their partners. For example: S1:Does Jane have a tennis ball? S2:No,she doesn’t. Then,ask some pairs to act out their dialogues in front of the class. Step 5 Exercises In groups of 4,ask for the ownership of the item according to the structure of the item in the room. Step6.
